Founded by Melissa Martin in Wilmington, North Carolina, our agency is all about making your home-buying or selling experience enjoyable and stress-free. Melissa Martin is the owner and founder of Harpo Properties. Born and raised in Wilmington, she is familiar with the area and appreciates all it has to offer…especially the beach! When she tragically lost her dog, Harpo, in 2019, she decided to dive into real estate full force and focus on something other than the tragedy. Due to the amazing growth in her business and her mission to improve the lives of others through home ownership, she decided to form a real estate team committed to helping others and continuing Harpo’s Legacy of community involvement.

2019:

  • Melissa Martin begins her journey in real estate.

2020:

  • Harpo Properties is founded, inspired by Melissa's therapy dog, Harpo.

2020:

  • Launch of Harpo's Legacy Sponsorship program, saving shelter dogs with every home sold.

2022:

  • Morgan joins Harpo Properties and begins system implementation and growth plans and Harpo Properties is recognized as a top 300 producer in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties.

2023:

  • Charity joins Harpo Properties and begins the buyer client division and Harpo Properties is recognized as a top 300 producer in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties.

2024:

  • Melissa is invited to join Gary Keller in Austin, TX to mastermind with 200 other top producing agents within the organization.
